Interested in coming along to early-morning Mysore practice but nervous about stepping into the room and unsure what to expect? Then this introduction is for you.

We will start by explaining a little about astanga vinyasa yoga and about Mysore practice – what it is and how it works – and there will be time for you to ask questions. We will go on to teach you some of the basics of the astanga practice. The introduction will happen in the Mysore room, during regular Mysore practice time, so that you get a feel for what Mysore is like.

This introduction is an opportunity to get to know me and Emma, the assistant teacher, and to become familiar with the practice room and some of the astanga sequence. It's suitable for absolute beginners with no yoga experience and for those who have done astanga in a led class but are new to Mysore-style.

If you decide you would like to commit to a block of six classes, there will be an opportunity to buy them for £30 (less than half price) at the end of the introductory class.

Astanga teaching includes some hands-on adjustment of the body. If this is not OK for you, please let me know by email or at the class.
