“Jess is the real deal and, in my opinion, a strong mentor for yoga teachers in London. Recommended.”—Drew Stallcop
teacher mentor groups provide a boundaried space for looking at some of what comes up for you in teaching yoga, in the company of supportive fellow teachers. This is a safe, non-judgemental environment for paying attention to your own feelings and reactions,
noticing what excites and what triggers you, and exploring ways of accessing the resources that you already have (but may not have noticed) to deepen and facilitate
Groups meet for six monthly sessions. At the beginning of each session there is always time to speak and be received without verbal responses. Beyond that, there is a possible syllabus with written resources, but the structure of the meetings is fluid and is responsive to the needs of the
individuals in the group. We do discuss and offer suggestions when appropriate, but rather than talking, we will often use experiential techniques (moving, drawing, writing) to access what our bodies already know. There is also space for more skills-based meetings, so, for example, the group might generate a taught session on adjusting, we might
spend time discussing ethical dilemmas, we could create mini teaching sessions in which you can receive feedback
on your teaching. There are many possibilities. There is also a private facebook group where we can share our
experiences confidentially, and you have ongoing access to my support via email for the duration of the group.
